Interview with Tyler Plante from the Laurier's Sustainability Office and Hold the Line WR

In this episode, we featured Tyler Plante, Outreach & Program Coordinator at the Sustainability Office at Laurier and co-founder of Hold the Line WR. In our conversation, we talked about all of the amazing progress Laurier has achieved making their campus a sustainable leader for campuses across Canada, some of the activities the Sustainability Office does for their students and the KW community, opportunities to get involved, and lots more. We also talked about Hold the Line WR, including need to knows for the Waterloo Region, especially pertaining to Bill 66.

Tyler Plante is the Programs Manager of the Sustainability Office at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he connects with students and faculty to encourage sustainable behavior change. Tyler is also the co-founder and Creative Director at Barn Door Creative, a media agency focused on helping good people tell great stories. In 2017, he co-founded a non-profit organization to create awareness and support for the Region's Countryside Boundary Line. Hold The Line hosts an annual cycling + music festival while engaging the community and local governments throughout the year. Tyler also sits on the Board of the Ontario College and University Sustainability Professionals network and the Region of Waterloo’s Inter-Municipal Partnership for Active Transportation committee. He also has a Master’s in Business Entrepreneurship & Technology from the Conrad School of Business, at the University of Waterloo. In his spare time, he is a guitarist in the world’s greatest animal themed band The Honey Badgers!
